1997: BLOOD TRAIL is a fun read. It has wit, sass and great characters. Watching the tension grow between Vicki and her two boyfriends (who both suffer from major fits of jealousy but will _never_ ever admit it) is always amusing and I really loved peeking into the daily routines of the life of a werewolf. I can't wait to dig into the other books in this series to what happens next to these three.

The Tanya Huff "Blood Books" series inspired a new television series on Lifetime called "Blood Ties." I watched the first season, and it was pretty fun. That's what inspired me to read the whole "Blood Books" series.
Essentially, a former Toronto cop turned private investigator partners with a 450 year old vampire - who happens to be the bastard son of King Henry VII - to solve supernatural mysteries.
These books are not life-changing literature. But they're a very fun read, particularly for those who like vampires and supernatural stories.
